quizf1 - クイズF-1 ワンツーフィニッシュ (日本版) | ||||

| 詳 細 | The settings for DSW 1-6 are labeled "Joystick" and "Buttons", but no matter which position the switch is in, the game is always controlled using four buttons. What this dipswitch does is determine which pins on the JAMMA harness the buttons are read from. When DSW 1-6 is OFF (the "Joystick" setting), buttons 1, 2, 3 and 4 are read from the joystick up, down, left and right pins, as is usual in four-button quiz games. When DSW 1-6 is ON (the "Buttons" setting), the buttons are read from the JAMMA button pins. Irem presumably included this dipswitch so that operators could convert non-quiz cabinets with four buttons (e.g. Neo Geo games) without any rewiring.
